Position Overview
We are looking for a Tech Lead to own the end-to-end architecture of data transfer and delivery infrastructure — from standardized package generation to customer acceptance. You will design and build multi-cloud data pipelines, delivery control planes, and cost-optimization systems that power large-scale video and data delivery to global customers.
Responsibilities
1. End-to-End Delivery Architecture — Own the full-link architecture design from standardized package generation to customer acceptance, covering object storage, cross-cloud / cross-region transfer, overseas data landing, customer-side delivery, validation, and exception closure loops.
2. Multi-Cloud Data Flow Architecture — Design and implement multi-cloud data mobility architectures across Alibaba Cloud, AWS, Cloudflare R2, and other platforms. Build capabilities for parallel transfer, multipart upload, resumable transfer, acceleration, rate limiting, disaster recovery, and data lineage / traceability.
3. Delivery Control Plane Development — Develop the delivery control plane in Go or Python, including task orchestration, state management, transfer workers, APIs, progress querying, exception retry, cost attribution, and monitoring / alerting. Integrate with existing systems such as Temporal and Kubernetes (K8s).
4. Capacity Modeling & Cost Optimization — Establish capacity models that translate video duration and data SKUs into storage, bandwidth, concurrency, and cost requirements. Continuously own delivery throughput, success rate, timeliness, and unit cost. Drive cost reduction through hot/cold tiering, incremental transfer, and other optimization techniques.
5. Security & Compliance for Cross-Border Transfer — Design encryption, data masking / desensitization, permission isolation, and compliance solutions for cross-border data transfer. Support delivery for strategic customers and overseas projects. Produce SOPs, monitoring dashboards, and technical documentation.

1. Educational Background and Professional Experience — Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Networking, Telecommunications, or a closely related discipline. A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in backend engineering, data infrastructure, storage systems, transfer platforms, or cloud networking research and development. Demonstrated ability to independently author production-grade core code.
2. Programming Proficiency and Systems Expertise — Advanced proficiency in at least one of Go or Python. Substantive hands-on experience with high-concurrency services, asynchronous task processing, message queue systems, or workflow orchestration engines (e.g., Temporal, Kafka, Airflow, Celery).
3. Storage and Networking Domain Knowledge — In-depth understanding of object storage paradigms and large-file transfer mechanisms (including S3, OSS, and COS multipart upload, resumable transfer, cross-region replication, hot/cold storage tiering, and related capabilities). Comprehensive understanding of public network, dedicated line, CDN, and transfer acceleration technologies, as well as foundational networking protocols including TCP and QUIC.
4. Multi-Cloud and Large-Scale Data Experience — Proven hands-on experience with a minimum of two cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Alibaba Cloud, Tencent Cloud, GCP, Azure, Cloudflare). Demonstrated experience with petabyte-scale data environments or daily transfer volumes exceeding 100 terabytes. Ability to substantiate claims with verifiable data volumes, bandwidth metrics, and quantifiable optimization outcomes.
5. FinOps Acumen and Operational Ownership — Strong FinOps cost-awareness and a demonstrated sense of ownership and accountability. Ability to execute informed engineering trade-offs across performance, timeliness, reliability, and cost dimensions. Willingness to serve as the technical owner for strategic customer deliveries and production incident response. English reading and writing proficiency sufficient for use as a working language.
